The Role of the Village Government in the Implementation of BLTS KESRA in Kendalpecabean Village

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the role of the village government in the implementation of BLTS Kesra in Kendalpecabean Village. Using qualitative research, data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving village officials and community members.  The research sample used purposive sampling with informants, namely Acting Head of Services, 12 RT Heads and as many as three people from Kendalpecabean Village.  The data collection techniques carried out by the researcher are interviews, observations and documentation.  The data analysis used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The results show that as a motivator, the village government has provided direction and information regarding the criteria for assistance to the RT Chairman to actively participate in verification, although the socialization of the understanding of program objectives to the wider community is still considered less than optimal. As a facilitator, the village government showed good service in providing initial data and coordinating verification, but the overall delivery of information to residents was not optimal, causing potential misunderstandings related to transparency. As a mobilizer, the village government succeeded in mobilizing the Head of RT in the field verification process and coordinating the distribution of aid in an orderly manner with the village government, and supported by active participation in the collection of BLTS Kesra assistance.
